David Michael Dower passed away peacefully at his home in Morgan Hill, CA on June 20, 2020. He was 75 years, 11 months and 13 days young (as he would say). He was born July 7th, 1944 to William David and Audrey Beatrice Dower in San Mateo, CA. David grew up in California and traveled the world. He graduated from Falls Church High School in Virginia, Class of 1962. In 1967, he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany as a Radar Tech. While in Germany, David met his first wife Susanne Decker. After marrying in 1969 they had 2 daughters, Patricia and Tamara. David attended college in various locations and earned an A.A. Degree in Business in 1973 from West Valley College in Saratoga, CA. He later joined the California Army National Guard Reserve and served from 1976 to 1994 with a rank of Sergeant First Class. He worked for almost 30 years at Williams Manufacturing Corp in San Jose and retired. After retiring, he worked for Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation maintaining the local parks. In 2005, David and Susanne decided to part ways and he remarried. In October 2009, David married his second wife Gail and he lived the rest of his days with her traveling and visiting family. David was a bowler, golfer, snow-skier, and avid traveler. He was a loving, kind, helpful husband, father, brother and friend. He helped others often and was kind to strangers. David is preceded in death by his mother and father, his younger brothers Christopher Thomas, Gary Richard and nephew Scott Lee. David is survived by his second wife Gail, first wife Susanne, 2 daughters Patricia and Tamara, two siblings Linda and Scott, numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. David will be loved and missed by all who knew him. David's ashes were scattered at sea in Kirby Cove, San Francisco Bay on Aug. 13, 2020 by Memorial at Sea.
