Our beloved brother uncle and friend who was born in the The Dalles, OR on 9/13/1931 to William H. Bottemiller and Abigail B. Callaway passed away on 12/22/2013. Raised in Condon, OR, he moved to Albany, OR where he played football and graduated in 1949. After a year at U of O playing football, he joined the US Army on 11/15/1931 serving two years. He trained as a stevedore and was in Eniwetok, Marshall Islands for the first test of the hydrogen bomb. After discharge, he attended Oregon Tech. He worked for Union Oil and Terminal Superintendent for Redwood City, CA where he met and married Coni R. Grasso on 8/27/1966. Most recently he was the Maintenance Foreman at Fort Ord. Over the years they won numerous ballroom dance trophies. As a proficient golfer he was a Marshal at Pebble Beach golf tournaments for many years. He is survived by his brother Richard D. Bottemiller, his sister Doris B. Coleman, six nieces, two nephews, five great nieces and six great nephews. Direct burial without services will be at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
