One day, every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, the crooked places shall be made strait and the glory of the lord shall be reviled and all flesh shall see it together.

Obituary
Dondie Mitchell Wilks II, age 36, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Modesto California. He was born on October 17, 1983 in Palo Alto, CA to his mother, Roslyn R. Fleming.
Dondie grew up in Stockton, and San Jose, CA. He attended James Lick High School in San Jose, CA. He went on to become a Carpenter, a Welder, a hard worker and a fighter.
He fought for his right to be “respected as a man, as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being, in his day, on this earth, in this society and this he worked diligently to bring into existence by any means necessary.”
He defended those who could not defend themselves. He strove constantly not only to succeed but rather to excel.
As a child, he loved to draw, to laugh and to learn. He loved his family just as his family did and will always love him until the end of all time. The mechanics of his life were not always beautiful, but they were powerful, and in time his power became beautiful to watch.
As our Lord, our Savior and our God takes him into his kingdom and out of our grasp we will speak of Dondie Mitchell Wilks II often that he shall never be forgotten.
Dondie is preceded in death by his Grandmother: Vernia L. Fleming, his Aunts: Carolyn F. Mitchell and Jacqueline A. Fleming and his Uncle: Kenneth R. Fleming.
Dondie leaves behind to celebrate his life:
His beautiful mother: Roslyn Martin of Menlo Park, CA; his Stepfather: Damon Martin of East Palo Alto, CA; his Brother: Calvin Douglas of San Jose, CA; his brother: Allen Wilks of San Jose, CA; his Sister: Shatia Wilks of Sacramento, CA; his Grandfather: Simon Fleming Jr. (spouse Debra), of Stockton, CA; his Uncle: Charles Fleming of Menlo Park, CA; his Cousins: Robert, Dujuan, Eric and Mychael Mitchell of Menlo Park, CA; and his Cousins: Marcus (Spouse Kimberley), Kamishia and Markisha Mitchell of San Jose, CA. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and younger cousins: Joshiah, Ni’emah, Aamani, KeyAna, Tyree, Travonn, Chase, Cyrus, Trinity, Ziaire, Paradise, Gionni and a wide array of loved ones and friends that will honor his memory always.
-Submitted in honor of how Mr. Dondie Mitchell Wilks II lived his life-
“Tell me and I will forget;
Show me and I will remember;
Involve me, and I will understand.”

Message from the youths of our Family
directed towards the young people of other families that they might be spared our suffrage.
Time is a currency that should NOT be spent frivolously, because time for us is not infinite but rather finite. Life is serious business that should be treated with respect and all respect begins with self respect.
