Donna Lee McElroy was born in Seattle Washington in 1941 to Stanley Dean and Wyoma Opal Matthews. She passed September 15th 2024 at home. Growing up as an Army daughter she attended 13 Elementary schools and 2 Jr Highs. Donna Lee lived in Sunnyvale throughout high school graduating from Fremont High and married her high school sweetheart James Decair. She had many passions some of which included arts and crafts, music, animals, cooking and even attended a holistic college to become an herbalist.
Throughout the years she worked many jobs, bookkeeper, wig-shop owner in Saratoga and running her own daycare to name a few. Her favorite was being a homemaker and wife to John Roger McElroy and Mother to many, many children. She was blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donna Lee dedicated her life to serving other and sharing her home to people, foreign exchange students and pets in need. She will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Memorial 300 Curtner Ave San Jose, CA Tuesday October 1, 2024 at 11:00 am. Donations in her name can be sent the
Humane Society Silicon Valley.
