DOROTHY EIKO KITAJIMA peacefully passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 97. Born in British Columbia, Canada, on November 10, 1926, daughter of Tsuneki and Yoshio Sassa.
She immigrated to the United States after she met and married Fred Kitajima where they settled in Santa Clara County. While raising their four children she volunteered at the local elementary school. Later in life, she was an avid volunteer for Yu-Ai Kai.
Dorothy is survived by her son Gary, daughters Sharon and Darlene, grandchildren Aaron and Megan, and great grandsons Jerome and Myles. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred, and daughter Carol.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
