Dorothy spent her early years in Amarillo, Texas where she met her future husband, Robert Meek, who was serving in the Army. In 1949 the couple relocated to San Jose, California where they raised 12 children.
Dorothy was a sweet, loving, caring, and supportive woman who loved and adored her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her husband passed away in 2001.
Dorothy loved shopping at garage sales, thrift shops, and Goodwill being her favorite place.
To her family, Dorothy was the ultimate mom and grandma. She was always there at a dance recital, ball game or a musical. She was always ready to give a hug, a kiss, and always words of encouragement.
Dorothy is survived by 6 children and over 30 grandchildren. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever miss her steady presence.
