Mrs. Dorothy Jane (Forster) Wright, aged 97 1/2, passed away peacefully on Monday March 29, 2021 in Campbell CA. Born in Enid OK, she was greatly loved by friends, family and all who met her. Raised in Wichita KS, she attended Kansas State College in Manhattan KS and joined Kappa Delta Sorority. During WWII she worked at the Rationing Board for tires, and volunteered with the USO handing out cookies to troops at the train station. She also worked as a clerk for the Army station at the Wichita KS airport, and as a weather observer for the Weather Bureau in Columbia, MO.
She married Willard (Scotty) Wright, and had two children in Kansas before moving in 1958 to Sunnyvale CA, where she worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space for eighteen years before her retirement in 1984. They enjoyed many retirement years in Redding CA, traveling by RV to several states around the country in the summertime.
She is survived by her loving family: husband Scotty; son Bill (Carolyn), daughter Connie; grandchildren Jason, Jonathan, Bill N, Heather; and great grandchildren Breanna, Adrien, Hayden, Shelby, Billy, and Mateo.
