I have fond childhood memories of hanging with my uncle Doug and my Dad. What a wild time truckin' from CA to AR to visit Aunt Donna! I can still hear my Dad calling you his baby brother. For those that knew him best...my sympathies. I hope your memories bring you comfort.

I will miss your smile you greeted me with every morning and the laughter you started my day with. Thank you for both of those blessing you shared with me.

To the entire Williams family:  My heart goes out to you and I pray for peace in your heart as I know Doug is resting at great peace knowing that you're all in God's loving care just as he is.  I'm so sorry for your so unexpected loss.

I knew Doug in high school and he was my good friend Kathy's brother.  Rest in peace Doug.

Dear Williams Family,

 I was the Adult Education teacher at HOPE SERVICES/WHITTIER until June of 2012.  I knew Doug very well as a student in my class and as a client who would stop by just to chat.  When Doug was on the paint crew, I would poke my head into each room where he was painting, offering him "unsolicited advice" in a fun way and chat a bit. When Doug was taking a break from tearing down computers, he would come into my classroom, and we would chat about classic cars, good things to eat...like a good steak right now, AA meetings, and what was going on in the neighborhood etc.  From Doug, I learned about the family ties to the New Almaden Quicksilver Mines and about the orchards and canneries in San Jose. I heard several funny stories about forklift driving at the cannery.  Yes, the Hope staff and clients affectionately called him "Big Doug."  I now know many wonderful stories about San Jose and New Almaden thanks to Doug.  He was "my San Jose history teacher." Many thoughts and prayers are with you now.

Many years ago my two brother's Dennis and Doug drove across country from sunny California to West Fork Arkansas the job they had was being ranch hands Big Doug did real well riding a horse It's because of all the experience in the California Honky Tonk clubs that had a "Mechanical Bulls" Big Doug would hang onto those "Mechanical Bulls" thats why when he was a ranch  hand it came easy to ride a real horse it's a dfferent story with my brother Dennis with-out the "Mechanical Bull" experenice Dennis had to get on a box and crawl on top of his horse the horse took off with Dennis hanging on for dear life the horse ran at least a mile with Dennis still hanging on the horse the horse went with a speed of lightening right back into it's stall Dennis and the horse were facing the inside of the stall.Needless to say the ranch hand jobs didn't last too long.My brothers and I had some great times together. "ON THE ROAD AGAIN"

To Doug's family, I met Doug when I was dating and married to Danny Blaylock.You had a great fun loving personality, it was a pleasure meeting you back in 1968.Danny still would always talk about your crusing days in downtown San Jose !!

Doug, I enjoyed are friendship for many years, I will remember your contagious laugh, and the way you looked forward to going out to eat. I know you will be missed by your family and many friends.

The Harley Wings of Freedom have take you from your earthly family to join the brothers that have preceded you into Harley Heaven. Our loss is their gain ,as you boss the heavenly angels and enlighten them with your humor, wit and wisdom,  ,know that we miss you.. sis peggy

My Uncle Doug. I can still hear you saying "Heya!". You were a big part of my life and will always be. We will all greatly miss you. Our memories with you will keep you alive forever.

Uncle Doug: You are truly missed by so many people. One of your most endearing qualities was your genuine belly laugh! At family gatherings, you made all of us join in your laughter, because yours was so authentic. And, over the years, you "Honkey Tonked" 'til the morning light! I hope you rest in peace knowing that you were and will always be loved.

My condolences to my dear Grandma Jane at the passing of her beloved son, my Uncle Doug.

He was, and always will be, loved by his family. He enjoyed life. He especially looked forward to going out to eat, and spending time with his family.  He could spot a classic car a mile away, and rattle off the year, make and model! 

Uncle Doug made friends easily and was likeable.  He had a genuine and contagious laugh. When he turned on the charm, it was delightful! He is very missed by his family, many friends who have known him for decades, and colleagues.

My Big Brother Douglas the last few day's have taken me on a sentimental journey I remember when we would go to school I would always hold your hand as we grew older you would protect me.Then you Dennis and I sure had some great "Rip Roaring Honky Tonk times like you and I Honky Tonk Boot scooten.I WILL ALWATS LOVE YOU!
