Today is the day that we remember a very special friend, Dung Vu, who passed away last year.  I and my family, all ways  treasure the friendship with him.  Moreover, we hope Chi Phuong, Dung's children and grand children will feel less sorrow about loosing him forever. A story about the friendship between Dung Van Vu and Luong Van Vo

I would like to write this story to dedicate my memories to Vu's family.  First of all, even if, Dung's last name and my last name  were written differently in Vietnamese, however they have the same meaning, and are written in the same Chinese character, and it is pronounced as Wu in Chinese language.
Our friendship was begun with a classmate relation at Chu Van An High School in Saigon beginning in September of 1962.   We were in the same B8 class at Chu Van An High School for the last three years of High School Program.  After I left Chu Van An High School, I did not have a chance to meet Dung again in Saigon.
In April, 1965, I received a scholarship from Japanese Government to study in Japan.  After April 30, 1975, when The Communist North Vietnam took over the South, I and my family asked  the American Government to come to the U.S as refugees of Communism.
I resettled in New Jersey, and worked for Bell Labs until my retirement in 2004.  After my retirement with Bell Labs, I went to Fremont, California, and worked for Hayward Quartz, a company that specializes in cutting quartz for other High Tech companies.  At Hayward Quartz, in a very astonishing, Dung and I met again.  At first, I could not recognize him, since I have very nearsighted eyes.  However, Dung, with very sharp memory, he recognized me at first sigh.  From June, 2004, we reconnect our friendship again.  Dung worked at HQ as a quality control specialist.  I worked as a software developer, implementing bar code feature in the inventory system.  We worked for this company about 3, or 4 months, then the owner felt he did not need a quality control and the bar code feature, so both of us were layoff.
My apartment and Dung's house are in waling distance, so we met very often during my living time in Fremont.  We started a planning for our own business.  At first, we tried to provide herbal ramedie for  diabetes, but the plan was not flyi
