Ed Hughes age 90, and a veteran of WWII, died at Good Samaritan Hospital on December 5, 2014. He was born on 7/23/1924 in Danville, Alabama and had resided in Monte Sereno, California for the past 32 years. He spent over 45 years in the automotive industry until retiring in 2009. He was a huge baseball fan and spent much of his retired time watching his favorite team, the San Francisco Giants. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Madeline Hughes and their three children, his five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at Lima Family Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, CA on December 21, 2014 at 4:00 (viewing) and 5:00 for a memorial service. The burial will take place at Sacramento Valley Memorial Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA at 1:00 PM Monday December 22, 2014.
