Edward Leyson Penrose, age 89, of San Jose, California passed away with his loved ones by his side on Monday, December 5, 2022. Edward was a kind, strong, yet silent man who loved and cared for his family tremendously. He loved being surrounded by family and friends having large parties at his house, filled with lots of great food and happy, fun times.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 1/2 years, Bella; children: Rose Emily (w/Ron Van Hauter), Gerald (w/Araceli), Daniel (w/Vivian), Francis and Karen (w/Troy Cattivera); grandchildren: Spencer Van Hauter (w/Melissa), Cameron and Shannon Penrose and Santino, Kiana, and Dominic Cattivera; great granson, Xander Van Hauter and many extended family and friends.
A visitation for Edward will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125 in Chapel Of The Roses. A funeral service will then occur from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Lastly, a committal service will follow after 12:00 PM in Oak Hill Memorial Park.
