Elena ‘Dionicia’ Sivila Gazmen Sana was born on 31 July 1929 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She was the youngest daughter of Jose Gazmen and Florencia Sivila Gazmen. Her brothers were Salustiano, Frank, Rodolfo, and sister Francisca Gazmen. She found her true love at a very young age and married Arsenio Garcia Sana. They had eight children, namely, Bernardo, Dinia, Nancy, Mario (deceased), Nestor, Roger, Digna and Ariel. She came to America in the year 1975 to join her family in Maui, Hawaii. She worked as a housekeeper in sixteen years in Kaanapali Hotel. She enjoyed playing tong-its \with friends and relatives and as a player,she made sure that she dictates the rules of the game. She was very well loved by thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She loves going out with friend Louisa, eating and window shopping. She travelled many times back to her hometown Cabugao enjoying the fruits of her labor. In 2007, she travelled to Europe, visiting places like Fatima in Portugal being a very religious person and prayed the Hail Mary. Then she went to Valencia, Spain and had a sumptuous dinner there. After this she went to Paris, France and entered the church of the famous Norte Dame. along the way, she went to Lourdes, had a dip in the pool and drank their miraculous water. For fun, she then went to Lucerne, Switzerland and enjoyed the lift up the mountain and where shelived like a young a kid in the snow. Then to Rome, Italy. Heard and celebrated mass in the Vatican, though she failed to meet the Holy Pope. All these places she went while in Europe. On February 9, 2020, she was called up by the Heavenly Father to join His Kingdom in Heaven.

A visitation for ELENA will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, followed by a Rosary Service from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
