Elizabeth Marie Chinn was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Elizabeth will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Elizabeth was born on May 7, 1934 in Marshall, CA. She was the daughter of Harold and Alice Kaucher. Elizabeth grew up in Marshall, CA, Tomales, CA, and San Francisco, CA.
Elizabeth was raised with one siblings. She had a younger sister, Virgie. Elizabeth was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her sister. She and her sister experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
On January 7, 1959 Elizabeth exchanged wedding vows with Albert J. Chinn at the Judge's home in Daly City, CA. Empathic and loyal, Elizabeth was committed to making her new family happy.
Elizabeth worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Elizabeth was blessed with three children, one son, Eric, and two daughters, Mary and Yvette. Another blessing for Elizabeth was the gift of seven grandchilden, Dominic, Adam, Daniel, Jessica, Jacob, Deric, and Nathaniel. Elizabeth was also blessed with seven great grandchildren Divina, Delilah, Deyvn, Kayla, Jordon, Deziree, and Jacob Jr.
Fortunately, Elizabeth enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Elizabeth worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was as a housewife. She was employed for 6 years as a waitress, and also helped cashier at her family's meat market called U Save Meat Market in San Francisco, CA. Elizabeth always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Elizabeth enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were gardening and watching sci-fi movies. In her earlier years, she also enjoyed reading and playing Pac-man in her 30's. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Elizabeth found pleasure in sports. Recreational sports included tennis and skiing. Elizabeth was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so.
Elizabeth passed away on April 23, 2012 at home in San Jose, CA due to natural causes. She is survived by her children Mary, Eric, and Yvette; her grandchildren Dominic, Adam, Daniel, Jessica, Jacob, Deric, and Nathaniel; her great grandchildren Divina, Delilah, Devyn, Kayla, Jordan, Deziree, and Jacob Jr.; and her sister Virgie. Services were held at the Chapel of Roses in San Jose, CA.
Simply stated, Elizabeth was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Elizabeth leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Elizabeth Marie Chinn.
