Emma Quijas Garcia

She began working for Del Monte Corporation as a Quality Inspector where she worked for over 28 years. Emma married Benny L. Garcia in 1955 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They were happily married for 62 years.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband Bernardo L. Garcia; her parents Marcelino and Maria Guadalupe Quijas, sister Lydia Martinez and her brothers Jose and David Quijas.

Emma is survived by her daughter Emma Garcia, sons Jose and Adrian Garcia; her four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her sister Maria Mata and brothers Alberto and Estevan Quijas.

A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, CA 95125.

The family will greet friends and relatives at a final viewing on Friday, March 4, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Lima Family Erickson. Funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at Templo Juan 3:16 Church, 920 S. Capitol Avenue, San Jose, CA 95127. Interment to follow at 1:30 p.m., Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125.
