Uncle Manny,

Thank You Po for giving me the best advice in life:

“Always enjoy what god has given you and leave this place better than how you remembered it. Cherish your family and the time you have with them, because you never know when god will call you home”.

You truly showed me how to live this way and I will always cherish those memories.

I will miss you dearly as your kindness, wisdom, incredible sense of humor, and specially your gentle way of giving me guidance. You have helped me in many ways to fill the void of missing my own father, for that I will forever be grateful. I am very blessed with the time I have had with you. You are now at peace and I am happy that you are no longer suffering with pain. Know that I will always remember and keep you in my prayers as you have thought me the power of believing.

Your love has touched many lives through your family, friends, and the community that you served. Be at peace knowing that we all love you very much and will continue to learn and teach the lessons that you have given us.

- Ludwig

Uncle Manny,
You are such a significant part of our family. It is with deep sorrow that you are no longer here with us. We know that you are now in heaven with my dad/husband/grandfather (Ham Opinia). Please know that we will always be praying for you, remembering you, and knowing that you and "Ham" are watching over us in heaven. You both are probably talking stories, laughing, and hanging around like you both always did. We love you and we will always treasure all our memories together with you. Rest in peace Uncle. We love and miss you.

Love and Aloha,
Opinia Family

Ke Akua (God),
Please continue to watch over Uncle Manny and our dad/father/grandfather (tutu), Hemisio "Ham" Opinia. They are incredible men who have served their country, taking care of their family and were angels here on earth as they are in heaven. Mahalo Nui Loa

Manong Manoling had always been a caring brother. Despite some mood swings, he has never failed to show me he cares.
He and our eldest brother Manong Jun have always been attentive to me, especially because I’ve been a sickly sister. Manong Manoling can also get naughty and tease me when we were young. And when I cried, he surely got some spanking from our father. I will never forget his calling me Nene up to my old age, that to me is loving. I love you Manong you will always be in my heart. I am sure you are happy now with no more pains and worries and most of all being with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Uncle Manny, you’re forever in our hearts. You were a caring, thoughtful, generous, kind, and loving person. Always thinking of our family, you were there to support and guide us. You were always fun to be with with your jokes. You’ve given us great advice. Dave & I will miss you. God bless your soul.
