

In loving memory of retired United States Marine Prv. Ephraim H. Salinas, Korean War veteran, who passed away on December 28, 2015. He was a former employee of Del Monte Cannery, Rosenberg Cannery, Mayfair Packing and National Nuclear.
He was a former student at Evergreen Valley and San Jose City College.
He was a Christian. He loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. In his youth, Ephraim enjoyed swimming at the YMCA and Alum Rock Park. His hobbies were bowling, coin collecting and roller skating. When rolling skating was popular, he skated in various rinks.
"Speedy" was usually seen walking in San Jose or Campbell, carrying his backpack and collecting any thing that interested him.
Ephraim is survived by his brothers Richard, Mike, Angelo and his sister Gloria. He is preceded in death by his sisters Diamantina and Isabel.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for Veterans at Palo Alto Veterans Hospital (General Fund #2202), Wounded Warrior Project (www.suportwwp.org/wwp) or Gideons International (www.gideons.org).
Viewing time: Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 1pm to 5pm. Memorial service: 5pm to 6pm at Lima Family Erickson Mortuary, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. Interment: Mon. January 25, 1:30pm at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA. Semper Fidelis.
