Esperanza Banda Bayot

Esperanza Banda Bayot, also called "Anching" or "Espie", a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2024 at the age of 87. Born on June 22, 1936, Esperanza's life was a testament of love, resilience and dedication.

In her early years, Esperanza dedicated herself to her education and career. She graduated with honors and became a dedicated government employee. She made sure that her job was done perfectly and on time, gaining the favor of her superiors through her exceptional work ethic.

Esperanza married the love of her life, Casimiro Bayot, and together they built a home filled with love laughter and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother their three children, Romeo, Elmo and Lilian, instilling in them the values of hardwork, compassion and integrity. She was very loving, caring and protective of her children and granddaughters, Maria and Hannah, always putting their needs first and sacrificing her own. Her daughters-in-law Judith and Lynnette were also dear to her heart. Not known to many, she also had a funny side and a lot of funny stories she talked about.

Before marrying, Esperanza took on the role of a caregiver for some of her nephews and nieces, treating them as if they were her own children. And even when she had a family of her own, she couldn't refuse her nephews and nieces, if they asked her for help.

Throughout her life, Esperanza remained deeply involved in her community and religious activities. She was an active member of the Catholic Women's League in the Philippines and loved to participate as a member of Couples for Christ both in the Philippines and here in the US.

She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Viewing and memorial services will be held on June 28 and 29, 2024 at Oak Hill Funeral Home at the Chapel of Roses and at the Queen of Apostles Church respectively.

Rest in peace, Esperanza. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
