Hi Marilyn.this is Karen Hagen.Our Dad's and Mom's were great friends  with BASKETBALL in Common. Lots of plays on paper and moving coffee cups. Their Basketball game closest to Dec 7...After game eats at Original Joe's. I talked to your Mom at a tourney at Independence High back in 2008..My Mom passed passed November 7, 2018...41yrs after my Dad November 9, 1977..

I am sorry for your loss.  My parents were good friends with your parents, Danny and Ets.   Mac (Masaru) and Haru Okuma.  I enjoyed taking my mom to visit your mom several times when I was in the area on business.  Haru would stay for a day or two and visit.  I even took my mom a couple of times to their small group (Poston) reunions over at the central coast and in Southern California. Haru passed away in December 2013. I spoke to Ets a few times afterwards but then I didn’t get any return calls.   Your mom was a beautiful and kind person and a great cook.  She always had something yummy to eat at her home.  May you enjoy and reflect on the many memories you hold in your heart.
