Eva Lorene Jones

Eva Lorene Jones, 81 Years, a long time resident of Willow Glen in San Jose, passed away peacefully on Wednesday of an apparent stroke. She lived life to the fullest with a flair for Art and an interest in Music that she was able to share as an inspiration to us all.

Eva was born in Santa Maria, CA., daughter of Alvin Russell Kinyon and Evelyn Lucille (Fisher) Kinyon. A graduate of Tulare High School where she showed an interest in learning. After High School is when she met and married Don Charles Jones. The happy couple originally lived in Sacramento and moved to San Jose, where she enjoyed being a full-time housewife and mother.

She loved playing music, camping and swimming in the backyard pool. Her hobbies included painting, needlepoint and sewing.

Eva is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Don Jones, devoted daughter-in-law, Nancy Jones of Fremont; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Lisa Jones of San Francisco, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jones of San Jose; grandchildren, Amanda Jones of Fremont and Taylor Jones of San Francisco. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sandra Kinyon of Smartville; brother and sister-in-law, James and Donna Kinyon of Kamiah, Idaho; brother-in-law, Al Smith of Sacramento; sister Anne Hewit of Alaska and sister Helen Strader of Auburn.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Russell and Evelyn Lucille Kinyon; son, Scott Hayden Jones and son, Michael Charles Jones, her brother Ted Kinyon and sister Wilma Smith.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held October 16th in the Chapel of Roses at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 1:00 P.M.; 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125 (408) 297-2447.
