Our beloved mother, Eva Mary Venegas, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hanford, California, to Jesus and Rafaela Medrano, who immigrated from Morelia, Michoacán, carrying with them dreams of hope and opportunity.
She worked at Pacific Bell before marrying our father, Salvador Del Real Venegas, in January 1954. Together they raised seven children and built a home rooted in faith, joy, and unconditional love. She later worked for a short time at Borello Farms, but her greatest calling was as a full-time homemaker, where she lovingly dedicated her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 64 years, Salvador, her daughter-in-law Lisa, her sisters Beatrice, Angelina, Erlinda, Amelia, and Esther, and her brothers Leo, Domingo, Richard, and Gil.
She is survived by her children: Paul, Sandra (David), Stephen (the late Lisa), Anna (Mike), Rachel (Alfred), Mark (Heather), and Gloria (Robert). She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren—Paul-Angelo, Christopher, Michael D., Anthony, Venicia, Danielle V., Marissa, Jeffrey, Robert, Chris, Mark, Michael L., Alyssa, Sara, Danielle, Joseph, Selena, Jonathan, and Nick and 20 great-grandchildren: Krissy, Leo, Jasmine, Adriana, Angelina, Marciana, Vianney, Jacob, Louis, Mila, Santana, Ava, Henry, Remy, Valentina, Arya, Mathias, Evangeline, Sebastian and new great-grandchild due to arrive in 2026.
Mom lived her life with an open heart and a giving spirit. She never hesitated to lend a hand, whether offering rides, babysitting grandchildren, or simply sharing time over coffee. She cherished weekend meals with her siblings, loved family reunions where she could dance, and deeply valued every moment spent with her loved ones. She also held a special love for her nieces and nephews, who brought her joy and whom she cared for with the same affection she gave her own children.
Her legacy is one of faith, kindness, and devotion. The family offers heartfelt thanks to Karla for her many years of care and service in helping our parents and family.
