Florentina “Floring” Savella, age 96, passed away peacefully in her home in San Jose, surrounded by her family on Monday, August 25, 2014. Born on June 23, 1918, she was the youngest daughter of Martin and Martina Saturno, in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Floring married the love of her life Pastor Savella. Together, they raised four children and Floring devoted her life to being a loving homemaker. In 1981, she joined her oldest son in the US, settling in San Jose, CA, where she was eventually joined by the rest of her children and grandchildren. Floring was kind, caring, and loving to her family as well as everyone she met.
Floring was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Rudy Savella, and her sister Fortunata Castro. She is survived by her children Andy Savella (Lumen), Emilia Ubungen, and Tante Savella (Evangeline), her sister Severina Somera, and by 17 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren.
Floring will be deeply missed by her family, who will keep her legacy alive forever.
