Frank A. Dalle Molle

Frank Dalle Molle, 92, passed away on August 21, 2026, in San Jose, California. He was born on February 21,1934 in Mott, CA, where his father worked on the local railroad. He graduated from Mt. Shasta High School in 1951, and upon a chance meeting with a friend at a filling station, was encouraged to attend Chico State University. He spent his junior year abroad in Padua, Italy, and graduated from Chico State with a degree in finance in 1955.

He entered the MBA program at UC Berkeley but was drafted into the Army before he could graduate. He spent two years stationed in Stuttgart, Germany and then traveled extensively throughout Europe. After his time in the service, he moved back to San Francisco and began his career in finance at Stauffer Chemical Company.

Frank met the love of his life, Shirley Ann Ferarri, at an Italian American Dance in Sunnyvale and they married in October 1961. They soon moved into a home in Willow Glen, where they raised their two children, Kathy and Ken. Frank and Shirley Ann shared 61 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2023.

Frank had a long and fulfilling career, including stints at Memorex and Gill Cable (now part of Comcast). His family was the first in the neighborhood to discover the joys of 35+ channels on cable television. Frank then went on to work as Controller or CFO for several small startups in Silicon Valley. He worked up to the age of 85, when he retired to care for his wife.

Frank loved to travel, and some of his favorite places included the Swiss Alps, Hawaii, Southeastern Germany and the Kernic Bay of France. He also enjoyed researching and monitoring the financial markets. He was a dedicated San Francisco 49er fan and spent his last night watching his favorite team on TV with his son.

Frank was a kind man and a devout Catholic. He attended St. Christopher’s Parish for more than 60 years. Everyone Frank encountered – from his coworkers to his caregivers to his insurance agent - spoke of his gentle spirit and generous disposition. He cared about others and generously supported organizations that serve the community and people in need. Despite his successful career, Frank was most proud of the family he raised. Frank will be deeply missed by his children, Kathy and Ken, and his grandchildren, Anna, Frank, George and Hank.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which were two of Frank’s favorite organizations.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, September 10 from 6-7 PM at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel (710 Willow Street, San Jose) and a Funeral Mass on Friday, September 11 at 11:00 am at St. Christopher Catholic Church (2278 Booksin Avenue, San Jose). Burial will take place at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery (490 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara). A reception will follow.
