Frank was born and raised in Campbell, graduating from Campbell High School in 1937. He was a graduate of San Jose State University and was very involved with college clubs, sports, many extracurricular activities, and served as president of his fraternity.
Frank went on to begin a 25-year career with the Moreland School District as school principal at Elvira Castro Jr. High and Coventry Elementary in San Jose. He proudly served our nation in the US Air Force during WWII as a bombardier and instructor, and retired after 22 years of service, through the reserves, as Lt. Col.
He was an active member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, San Jose BPOE Elk’s Lodge #522, Sons In Retirement, California Teachers Association, Kiwanis Club, Italian American Heritage Foundation, and many other charitable and community organizations.
Frank was an avid golfer; he enjoyed keeping up with sports, traveling the world with his late wife Arline, and tending to his fruit, vegetable, and flower gardens. Frank’s zest for life, sense of humor, courage, and indomitable spirit touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with; he will be deeply missed and proudly remembered.
