Franz A. Cruz

Franz was born on December 10, 1964 to Antonio and Felicisima in Quezon City, Philippines. In 1969, the Cruz family moved to Long Island, New York where he lived until the family settled in San Jose, California in 1979. Franz graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1983. Franz made a career working as a PCB technician for over 35 years.

Franz was kind, generous, full of humor and had an easy going attitude. He was passionate about sports, especially baseball.

He is survived by his brother Rex Anthony and wife Norliza Joy of Chula Vista; nephew Isaiah Anthony and niece Emma Mercedes. He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Cruz, and mother Felicisima Cruz of Bulacan, Philippines. He leaves behind his longtime partner of 21 years, Sandra Hebel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 in the Chapel of Roses Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, San Jose, California from 8:30am to 11am. The funeral service will be held from 11am to 12pm at the same location with a reception to follow.

His final resting place will be near his family at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary in Bonita, California. The committal service will be determined at a later date.
