

Gabriel E. Bonilla passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, in San Jose, California, at the age of 95.
Born on April 10, 1931, in Puebla, Mexico, Gabriel immigrated to the United States in his twenties. He proudly served his adopted country in the United States Army, exemplifying the courage, dedication, and patriotism that defined his life. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and rewarding career with Hewlett-Packard, where he earned the respect of his colleagues through his hard work, integrity, and commitment.
Gabriel embraced an active lifestyle and enjoyed biking, hiking with his son, and water skiing. He had a lifelong love of music and found great joy in cooking traditional Mexican meals and weekend barbecues. Whether outdoors on an adventure or gathered around the table, he loved bringing family and friends together to share good food, laughter, and life's simple pleasures.
Gabriel was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia, with whom he shared more than 50 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, Gabriel Bonilla, and his wife, Carol, and their children, Maria, Gabriel, and Anthony; and by his daughter, Margaret, her husband, Michael, and their children, Matthew and Andrew.
His kindness, quiet strength, and generous spirit will remain an enduring example to all who knew and loved him.
Gabriel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Gabriel's life and cherish the memories he leaves behind.
