Germaine G. Polizzi

She is survived by her husband, Francois, sons: Marc & Eric, daughters: Edwige, Chantal, and Brigitte, grandkids: Michael, Christopher, Trent, Marissa, Peter, Kyle, Samantha, Sara, great grandkids: Matthew, Charlotte.

Germaine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Most of her life was dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren, but she was "a mom to everyone." An excellent homemaker, she was always ready to host family gatherings with great homemade food and desserts. She enjoyed spending time with her children, reading magazines, cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, and playing board games. Kind and thoughtful, she always put the needs of others before her own.

In 1963, as a young woman, she found the courage to move away from her family and friends in France to begin an adventure of living in the United States. She was able to learn English on her own and in 2012 she became a U.S. citizen. Although she wasn’t “tech-savvy,” she was able to peruse Facebook with her own cell phone to keep up with what her family was doing. She will indeed be missed as she was a kind, nurturing, unforgettable person.

There will be a memorial/funeral service Monday, June 29, 2026, at Lima Family Erickson, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, beginning at 10 am followed by visitation and reception at 11am, same location. The burial ceremony will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara at 2pm.
