Obituary for Glenna Corsen Resident of San Jose Glenna was the seventh and the sixth daughter born of Earl Mack and Martha Daniel McAllister on Oct ober 22, 1926 in Milt on, Or egon. She passed away in San J ose, Calif ornia on March 15, 2020. She graduated from McLaughlin Union High School in Milton in June of 1946. She met Burton Cor sen, a patient in an Army hospital in Walla Walla, Washington in Apr i l, 1943. The romance blossomed and they were married in Milt on, Oregon June 29, 1947. During World War II as a teenager she worked in canneries and packing houses processing pea and prune crops for market , r eplacing men who were in the service. After graduating from high schoo,l she attended the Victor Beauty School in Walla Walla, Washington, graduating in December 1947. She qualified for a Cosmetology License in Washington upon graduating and later in California where she worked and earned her "Put t ing Hubby Through" degree from the University of Calif or nia. Glenna was an accomplished seamstress gaining family fame creating clothes for Burt and her children as well as her self. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, adult coloring books and camping with family and f r iends. She and Burt toured most of the 50 states and several provinces in Canada. Joining Burt in his second career as a Boy Scout volunteer she served two years as a den mother and 28 volunteering every Tuesday at the local council office. For her service she was presented the Silver Beaver awar d, the Council's highest recognition for volunteer service. She is survived by Burt and their childr en, David Corsen and Beverly Felix (Peter ) , granddaughter Tanya Darling, grandson Cody Corsen, several great grandchildren, his br ot her -in-law Leland Cor sen, Jr. and several nephews and nieces. Friends are invited to share a celebration of Glenna's life at asafer date at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Interment will be private.

It was always special when Aunt Glenna and Uncle Burt came to the farm to see all the Records kids. Picking Strawberries, and Aunt Glenna would say....."you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl. Memories we can keep forever. Love you
