Gloria R Acosta

Her sons and daughters along with grandchildren and great grandchildren were fortunate to be with her in her final hours. They made sure she was comfortable and loved as she took her last breath.

Gloria is survived by her children: Gibson, Alan, Lorraine, Michael, and Jennifer, along with her grandchildren: Gloria (Annie), Felisia, Christina, Deanna, Amanda, Stephanie, Cassie, Camilla, and Justine, great-grandchildren: Aundrina, Kalina, Rhiana, Jordan, Ryder, Desmond, Lucia, Avery, Mila, Emiliano, and Zaia, and siblings: Rey and Evelyn.

She is now reunited with her parents: Eduardo and Arsenia, her siblings: Voltaire, Norma, and Tony, and her beloved dog Tootsie.

Family was at the heart of Gloria's life. She truly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and enjoyed having family gatherings at her home. She loved seeing everyone's smiling faces, the loud voices, and laughter. She equally loved cooking for everyone… piles of delicious pancit and lumpia!

She persevered through times when women were expected to stay home and raise the children. She eventually got her first job in the early 70s, which led to her first bank account, first credit card, first car (a red Toyota Celica), and her career in tech. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family, watching/playing with the great-grandchildren, going to the movies, shopping, trips to the salon, and the occasional vacation. As her life drew to a close, she was able to spend a few months at an assisted living home, where she was able to rediscover herself and her happiness, make new friends, and have many cherished visits with family.

She lived a full life, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A visitation for Gloria will be held on January 22, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Chapel of Roses, located at 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, US.

A final visitation will follow on the same day from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the same location.

Finally, the funeral service will take place after the final visitation; on January 22, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Chapel of Roses.
