Guy Spalding, a beloved son, nephew, brother, and uncle, passed away on February 20, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and deep connection with those fortunate enough to know him. Guy will be remembered for his warmth, his spirit, and the genuine care he showed to family and friends alike. He held a special place in the hearts of many, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him.
He dedicated much of his life to serving others and building community. For over 20 years, Guy volunteered at the NorCal Renaissance Faire, where he became a familiar and cherished presence, warmly bidding visitors farewell each weekend. He also spent more than 25 years cooking his beloved pepper steak sandwiches at the St. John Vianney Festival, sharing not just food, but joy and connection with everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his Renaissance/Celtic Faire family, whose bond with Guy was one of profound meaning and shared experience.
Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the stories we share, the love he gave, and the lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Guy. You will never be forgotten.
