

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on January 30, 2024 at Oak Hill Funeral and Memorial, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, California.
Helen grew up living on a farm in the Santa Clara Valley. After she graduated from Campbell High School, she met the love of her life, Angelo Ferrero, who was in the United States Navy and served during World War II. They were married and she spent most of her married life as a homemaker. She was also always interested in the latest women’s fashions and she supplemented their income by working in women’s fashion sales.
She was always seen with a smile on her face and had many friends and extended family that all contributed to making her life a full and happy one. She hosted a lot of family gatherings and backyard BBQ’s for her friends at her home in Willow Glen. Her husband ‘Ang’ was well known for his legendary BBQ chicken.
Helen is survived by her nephew and niece, David and Barbara Cooksey, grand nephews, Matthew and Daniel Sousa.
Helen and Angelo were also very active in their local church,
St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.
