

With deep sorrow and endless love, we announce the passing of Herminia Theresa Carbone Cadiz, known to her loved ones as Mening. She went home to rest on March 30, 2026, at the age of 69.
Born in Piti, Guam, on May 14, 1956, Mening lived a life rooted in faith, love, and virtue. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. To her family, she was more than words can fully express. She had a special gift for bringing loved ones together, especially during holidays and family gatherings, where she created memories that will be treasured forever.
She is lovingly survived by her two siblings, Natalie Carbone and Louis Carbone. She is also survived by her eight children: Andre (spouse Monique), Sundi, Tana (spouse James), Leilanni (spouse Luis), Giovanni, Seretha, Sadie, and Chelsea (spouse Anthony).
Mening is further survived by her twenty-seven grandchildren: Kanani (spouse Luis), Troy (fiancé Damari), Kepuha, Christopher (fiancé Maylene), Jonathan, Gianni, Richard, Raymond, Isa, Anthony, Romeo, Monet, Tasi, Elias, Matua, Sirena, Carlos, Keanu, Ethan, Nathaneal, Isabella, Cheyenne, Amaya, Ciara, Cienna, Kainoa, and Keana.
She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren: Christopher, Meilanni, Joseph, Kehlani, Mai’ana, and, on the way, Baby Haro.
She will be reunited in peace with her husband, Anthony Cadiz; her parents, Lawrence and Fidela Carbone; her siblings, Lawrence, Marie, and Florence; and her granddaughter, Sadie.
Services to honor her life will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park in San Jose on April 14. Visitation with viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by church services at 12:00 p.m. and burial at 1:30 p.m.
