Dear Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out about Ian. Ian and i were reared in the same neighborhood and attended the same schools. He was always very kind, generous, funny, and a bit of a prankster. I was just talking about him to a neighbor and that is when i was told of his passing.

My prayers, for the entire family, is that our Heavenly Father continue to surround you with His loving arms and sustain you during this very difficult time. May HE grant you the peace that surpasses all understanding and keep you in His loving care.

God bless you...

A GREAT brother-in-law; awesome son, husband, brother, father, and friend. We keep asking, "Why Ian....everyone else get's a second chance." I am comforted KNOWING that you are with my niece Kylee...may your '5's' continue to comfort us; may your memories continue to bless your sweet children. Life doesn't get easier, it gets different. You will never be forgotten, Ian.

I am deeply saddened to hear this news. I knew Ian many years ago and have fond memories of him. Wow, too young, too young. My prayers are with your family.

May God bless you and your wee-ones... my heart breaks for you. I only knew Ian a short time in high-school and my memories are lacking except for his genuine smile and kindness. May your days ahead be blessed with a peace beyond understanding.

I was speechless when I heard of Ian's death, I had a crush on him when I was 12 or 13. Only 40 years old, wife and 2 kids, wow. Tomorrow is truly promised to no one. I'm sorry I didn't attend the memorial, I hope you received the small contribution to the children's college fund I left at the cemetary office for his widow. I don't know what I would do if I lost my husband, and we have no children yet. Take care of yourselves guys.-Cherie(Gove) Rissanen

Ian you will be so greatly missed. It's hard to believe I won't see you swagger into my parent's house smiling as you came to get the kids so Dawn could hang out with the family late into the night. Your legacy lives on in those beautiful kids. I will always be there for them and for Dawn.
