Dear Joe & Family,
    Janet & I were so sorry to read about Ilona.  We will always remember her kindness and special way of relating to people. Not only did we know Ilona  as a popular and respected teacher, but also as  a dear friend to all.  She had a gift for bringing out good feelings anytime we met. Our thoughts are with you.

Mrs. Spada was my earth science teacher at KHS. She inspired me to focus on the details and to take pride in my work. I will always remember her knitting beautiful blankets and offering words of wisdom. Sending love to her family and friends ❤️

I was in the first class Ilona taught at MJM. She was a great teacher. She was bright, kind  and engaging to her students. Her caring for everyone was always evident.  When she became engaged to Joe they were both school favorites  and a dynamic couple. The birth of “Joey” was cheered by  so many. As I recall she shared her singing talents too! I am sorry for your loss

I’m so sorry for your loss. I can remember her working with the music department at Miller School to decorate the stage for concerts. She used to make flowers out of chicken wire and tissue paper. She always had such great ideas. I never had her as a teacher but loved her for all the help she gave us. We still stayed friendly as I grew into an adult and an employee of KCS. Thank you Mrs. Spada for being a wonderful teacher and friend. RIP.
