She met the love of her life, Robert Jollay at a USO dance in New York and they were married in 1957. In 1958, their first Daughter was born and was followed by a second daughter in 1960. Shortly thereafter, she and her family moved to California where she enjoyed being a wife, mother and friend. Their third daughter was then born in the late 60’s. After being a stay at home mom for many years, she became a yard duty at Forest Hill Elementary School. It eventually led her to student aide work for kids with special needs at neighboring Marshall Lane Elementary which she retired from during the 90’s. Her family continued to grow throughout the years. She acquired several names of endearment such as "Grandma Jollay" used by not only her own grandchildren, but also by extended family and children of friends. In her recent and final years she became affectionately known as "Popcorn Jackie" by a very dear family member.
Children loved her and she them.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bob, son in-law, Tony Montagano and grandson, Christopher Gonzales.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Gonzales, Linda Montagano, Laura Guillory, her son in laws Arthur and LeJon and grandchildren, Alex and Michael Gonzales and Angie Capps and Damon Montagano. We all love and miss you Jackie.
