Hello Brother. 

I write to you having just viewed video clips at your Celebration of Life. It’s bittersweet seeing family and your colleagues together. 

Today, there was a passerby that resembled you so much it’s as if it was you. And a few weeks ago there was someone in a sports car that resembled you decades ago with your curly hair and beautiful curly eyelashes, truly a very handsome brother, and like the Lemus Family mentioned, Stallions. I and our family were blessed with photogenic features on the exterior and a beautiful heart in the interior. 

There’s no one else like you, brother. 

You parted much too soon but at least you’re reunited with our Father, Mother and Nephew and all who parted before us.  

Saturday marks a year ago that our family and your friends shared a day that no one ever wants to experience, and by the way, I danced with our cousin and I swear it was as though you were there. 

I believe you were there.  

Please continue to watch over us

Hello, Jaime. 

Tomorrow marks a year that my daughter, your niece, informed me you became ill. In the Sacramento area, I immediately went on my way to see you though can’t comprehend the reason no one invited when you were healthy. I’d love to have spent time with you in Puerto Vallarta but my passport went missing in November at our mother’s passing and haven’t replaced the passport. 

Yesterday, the song “I Can Only Imagine” came on the radio at precisely the time passing by the restaurant where I was on April 12, 2024 when my daughter called to inform me you became I’ll. You were either present with me in that moment a year later or God, our creator, allowed the song to play on the radio at that precise time. A coincidence? 

I cannot believe you’re not here physically but I know you visit me spiritually. At times I see you looking at me. 

I know you’re here. 

P.S. I never finished renovating  the house near Chicago. I really wanted you to renovate my home. I told Hector to tell you to renovate when I purchased a house but he told me you were traveling. 

P.S.S. I’m glad you traveled.

Deepest condolences to every love ones. Though the world is dark. We are able to see light in the memories Jaime had with his family and friends. Great memories will not fade.

         We will never forget the love and strength you showed us.

Jaime, brother, though cannot believe this transpired a day or so after receiving notice about your condition, I do have regrets. Regrets did not spend more time with you. Regrets we didn’t have any heart-to-heart conversations and determine what I could do. I hope you had a purpose. I hope you had someone to love. I hope you had something to do. And I hope you had something to look forward to. My daughter tells me you were fine days ago. Whatever the reason you left us so soon, I know that though you didn’t become the air traffic controller or the pilot you dreamed of becoming, you had your pilot lessons and in the end you traveled to places I can only imagine, practically all continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, South America. I think you just needed Australia and Antarctica. Thank you for all the memories: being my date to view Swan Lake when I didn’t have a date, playing board games for hours and hours and for being a great role model to my sons who I imagine will emulate and follow you in your footsteps. I heard that you were concerned about leaving us, my response to that “Don’t trip.” Your phrase to any concern, “Don’t trip.” I miss you, Jaime, and I wish we spent more time together. We could have gone to the Cinco de Mayo fiestas in our parents’ hometown. We could have gone to our cousin’s lounge in Puerto Vallarta. You could have been the handy man on my “mini” mansion that am about to purchase in the Great Plains. You may not be there to fix my fixer-upper but I believe you will be there in spirit. I truly wish we had more time together and though I have more memories of you as a child and a young boy, the eldest of the boys in the family, I cherish every moment with you. I’m sorry I didn’t spend more time with you as an adult but raising my family became a priority and the business kept the family busy on the weekends and we didn’t make time for you guys. I’m sorry. Thank you for helping us out at the beginning and for being the best brother ever. Love Lisa

I loved you so much Brother! Thank you so much for everything! You were my mentor you’ll never know how much influence you had on my life. You were a traveler and you touched so many lives around the WORLD! Just want to thank you for having touched mine. Thank you for the memories and your memory will live on forever. Love you HERMANO!
