James R George life-long resident of San Jose passed away peacefully on January 21, 2019 at the age of 86 from heart complications. He is survived by his daughter Lisa George, her wife Eileen Mason, and his daughter Lori George. Jim was predeceased by his mother Lucile, father Maushingo, and brother Robert. He was born in Turlock and raised in Gilroy. He was first generation Portuguese and very proud of his heritage. He attended Lincoln High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. After serving his country, Jim graduated from San Jose State. He continued to serve his community as a health care provider. Jim was an avid collector of Americana memorabilia and loved searching flea markets and sales for his next "find"
Services will be held Monday, February 4, 2019 at oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA. 95125
Visitation 9:30am-10:00am Service at 10:00am at Chapel of Roses, burial to follow.
