To my dearest cousin and friend.  Words cannot express how much I will miss you.  My last conversation with you was from the airport in LA on my way to Australia on April 1.  I am so glad I called you.  As always, your spirit was cheerful.  I will miss our phone calls but will cherish every moment I had with you and all my other cousins out there in California.  What wonderful memories you gave me.  Rest well dear Joan and know that you will always be close to my heart and greatly missed.

I wish I could have gathered the courage and held it together and speak about all you were and how much you meant to me. I wrote a two page eulogy to honor you and share with every one but every time I tried to muster the courage my lips started shaking and I felt my self starting to cry. 
You did so much for me over the years , gave to us when I suspect you hardly had it to give, I could never express enough gratitude to show how grateful I was for all you did. We had our moments over the years when we didn't meet eye to eye, but always found a way to bridge the difference, you were such a loving mother, grandmother, and mother inlaw that I can hardly believe how blessed I was to be a part of your family.. To have your love.. I know you are happy to be reunited with Ken and that brings me such comfort,, but I will still miss you all the same.. I felt blessed to be at your side when you passed and know you felt the love we were sharing ... Rest in peace..

Joan, will be remembered fondly as the perfect hostess, her doors were always open, ready for guests who were greeted with a smile.  She lived in the house “with the pool” on Ixias Court, where even the neighborhood kids could swim. She welcomed everyone and now has been welcomed into Heaven! She will be missed here.

Joan, I'll always remember the fantastic times we had on Ixias Court, especially going out to dinner and dancing with you and Ken. You were such a great friend to everyone!  You will be missed.

I realize this is late, but Joan I was thinking about you today and remembering all the fun times on Ixias Ct. with you and Ken and all the neighbors. You were always open to a great party, or just having some quiet time sitting on your front lawn. We had some good talks and you always cracked me up with your sense of humor. I am so thankful to have known you, to have shared so many great times and have had you as a good friend. God Bless you as He keeps you in His care. I will never forget you. Joan was a wonderful woman who will be sadly missed.  Lots of childhood memories between our families.  My prayers go out to her loved ones.

I so loved your Mom. I have such wondeful memories of Ixias Ct. and the friendship that has endured over the last 40 years. We will always remember our Hot August Night excursions with your Mom and Dad. Take care....

So sorry for your loss. I will miss all her trips out here to CT to visit and the stories she told about the family and her and Gram. She is with Gram and Ken now creating new memories.
