To Connie and Krystal, I am so sorry for your loss and if there’s anything that you need you know my number.                                           I have met a lot of people in my lifetime but never have I met somebody as nice as John,  i’ve only known and worked for him for about five years and I always told him that he should’ve hired me earlier because I would’ve worked for him for a lifetime.  I will deeply miss being able to call you on the phone when I have a problem at work or some thing is just crazy, i’ve already missed calling you twice in the last. week but you better know that I’ll be talking with you and still asking for your help, and I know you’ll still be helping me get through the projects as they come and g. First, to Connie and Krystal my deepest condolences. It was with shock and great sadness to hear of John’s passing, I am truly devastated. John and my husband Tony were cousins, but after Tony passed John continued to treat my like family. John you were an amazing man, I will miss your phone calls, your amazing knowledge and your infectious laugh. I hope you and Tony are reminiscing about your youth in Sao Jorge. RIP primo ❤️🙏

John , you know that you were not just a friend.  I felt like you were one of my family.  I loved you so much.

John, I look this way and that in my house and see something that you did for me.  I remember that I was putting my chairs together when you and Connie arrived and you took over.  In 2016 you, Connie and Krystal came and we had so much fun changing furniture from one room to the other.  Another time you came and installed the electric outlet on my front porch.

John you were such a loving person.  Always wanting to do something for someone.  I will miss you so very much.  I loved you dearly.

 To Connie & Krystal.   Our deepest sympathies and know how much you cared for your father and husband John.  He is no longer in pain and was comforted by your care for so many months.    It is with sadness that we lost a family friend of so many years.   Sr João goes back to being friends with my grandparents in São Jorge.   He was also good friends with my parents that came over two years after him   I was blessed to have started working  were he was the foreman and later he held me on when work was slow.  He also did so much for our community.  The dinner’s/ fundraiser s that he did always sold out and helped so many organizations.  In 1999 he helped us with a huge fundraising event in Mtn view for our church in São Jorge.    May God grant on to you eternal rest and bless your family at this difficult time
It is so close to “Vindima “ season and will will so miss that laughter and joking around that is so Sr João.   Such a class act.  Let’s all try to follow in his footsteps.  

Nothing could express the heartache on learning of the passing of my Padrinho. What a beautiful soul. He always welcomed my wife Rose and myself with that contagious smiles and open arms He was one-in -a-million and a great mentor to me. I will forever cherish the quality time we spent together making awesome memories. Rest in Paradise. Much love and prayers to Connie and Krystal. We're here for you. ❤🙏


John always greeted us with his infamous smile.  He is a beautiful soul that cared about people, helped the community and families.  He was an angel on earth and I'm sure has a very close seat by our father in heaven.   He will be missed by the DeSousa family whom he helped migrate here to the U.S. from the Azores.  Our prayers to Connie and Krystal.
