Dad was a hard worker. He was the father of thirteen children, Grandpa to 32 Grandchildren, Great Grandpa to 57 Grandchildren and Great Great Grandpa to the fifth generation of five Great Great Grandchildren. Now our Dad is at home in heaven with our Mom, his wife Jennie Leyva, and all our relatives that have gone before us.
Dad left his home in Santa Barbara when he was 13 years old, to come to the Bay Area to work. He met our Mom here in 1952. Dad was a member of Laborers' Union Local 270. He will be missed by many. In his late years Dad was a quiet and timid man. That is how many will remember him. We know Dad would never forget he had to get his lotto tickets. Dad loved food and especially seafood. He was always ready to go to church every Sunday.
We are happy and thankful for those who finally had a chance to know "Dad" after many years. Rest in Peace, Dad. This is not good-bye. We shall all be together again in heaven. Love from all your children and grandchildren. Until then, Dad, rest in peace with Mom and our brother. Our dad was strong-willed, humble and always wanting the best for his family. We love you Dad, for always trying your best. Your love will last forever, as will your name.
