Jose Perez Gallegos

Nacio José Pérez Gallegos en Agosto 27, 1930, un ser alegre e tímido y un gran ser humano. Como no quiso ir a la escuela, trabajo desde muy niño y siempre fue muy trabajador y responsable. Trabajo en la milpa, en el garbanzo, y con el maíz.

A los 26 años conoció a una bella joven, Carmen Alejandre, de 18 años que empezaron un bonito noviazgo el que los llevó a casarse al civil en el 8 de Diciembre del 1956, reafirmando a casarse en la iglesia el 12 de Enero del 1957. Y procrearon 10 hijos. Ella fue su fuerza, su pilar para continuar con todas sus luchas y logros.

Su primera ves en los Estados Unidos fue en el año 1968. Empezó a trabajar en el campo en algodón, la uva, y de brasero. Andaba para todos lados tratando de acomodarse en un buen trabajo que le gustaría pero no tenía dónde vivir. Sufrió mucho. Después trabajo con un primo y vivió con una ancianita donde vivió un año.

Busco otro trabajo y se movió en la ciudad de Sunnyvale con otro conocido de él y allí vivió por muchos años. Pagaba su renta, se hacía su lonche y trabajaba en la jardinería. En el año 1973 consiguió traer a su esposa, su gran amor, a este país y juntos superaron muchas luchas. Especialmente para traer a sus 6 hijos que a este tenían a los Estados Unidos.

Motivado para algo mejor, probó otro trabajo que le ofrecían en la construcción en la ciudad de Mountain View. Dios los bendicio con otro hijo más que nació aquí. Y lograron traer a sus demás hijos. Porque ese era su gran sueño de estar ruinidos otra vez con toda su familia juntos.

En la construcción fue donde José trabajo hasta el día que se retiró a los 62 años. Después del retiro quiso seguir trabajando. Encontró trabajo de nuevo en la jardinería en E. Palo Alto y el con gusto lo desempeño. Nunca le pagaban lo que su trabajo valía, pero estaba contento porque estaba asiendo lo que más le gusto. Trabajar con la maravillosa naturaleza y espléndido verdor.

Finalmente se retiró para gozar de su familia. Muchos años disfrutando de su retiro. Disfruto del tiempo con su esposa y con sus hijos. Viajaban mucho a diferentes lugares pero siempre manteniendo primero su lugar favorito, su pueblo, Chavinda, Michoacán.

José Pérez sobrevivió muchas enfermedades pero siguió luchando y así estuvo por muchos años. Hasta que en el 2005 le pusieron un marca pasos y continuó su jornada de su sube y baja con su salud. Aun así, siempre fue una persona muy alegre y con un gran sentido del humor. Tanto así que atraílla con su buen corazón, con su buena vibra y por seguro su propio Angel a mucha buena gente hacia el.

En el 2015, Su enfermedad empeoró y comenzó ya más una larga jornada de entradas y salidas a los hospitales, por su salud. Y llegó el día esperado por el, el día de su partida. Se despidió de este mundo con mucha paz, tranquilidad, y con mucho amor de su esposa, sus hijos, nietos, y hasta bisnietos.

Le sobreviven su esposa de casi 60 años; Carmen Alejandre de Perez, sus 7 hijos; José, Juan, Irma, Jerardo, Socorro, Carmen, y Jorge. Sus yernos y nueras. 25 nietos y 17 bisnietos.

El rodeado de todos en su lecho de muérete. Descanse en paz el gran hombre, esposo, padre, gran hijo, tío, e amigo -- que amamos por ser el gran ser humano. Un verdadero guerrero. Hasta pronto Padre, Abuelito José Pérez.

José Pérez Gallegos was born on August 27, 1930, a very timid and happy individual. Since he didn't want to go to school, he worked as a young child and was always very hardworking and responsible. He worked in the fields, garbanzo beans, and corn fields.

At the age of 28 he met a beautiful young lady named Carmen Alejandre of 18 years old and began a wonderful courtship which brought them to marry in civil court on December 8th, 1956 and then married by the church on January 12th, 1957. They went on to have 10 children together. She was his strength, his pilar to continue with all of his life struggles and accomplishments.

His first time in the United States was in the year 1968. He started to work in the countryside in the cotton fields, grape fields, and as a brasero. He was looking endlessly to be settled with a great job that he would like, but he had no where to live. He suffered a lot during that time. Then he later worked with a cousin and lived with an elderly woman where he stayed for about a year.

He looked for another job and moved to the city of Sunnyvale with another acquaintance of his and lived there for many years. He paid his rent, he would make his own lunch, and he worked in gardening. In the year 1973 he was able to bring his lovely wife, his greatest love, to this country with him and together they overcame many struggles. But their biggest struggle and desire was to bring their 6 children into the United States.

Motivated for something bigger, he tried another type of work that they offered him, construction in the city of Mountain View. God blessed them with another child whom was born here in the U.S. And they accomplished to bring the rest of their children along. Because this was his biggest dream; to be reunited again with all of his children and have the family together again.

It was in construction where José worked until the day that he retired, at the age of 62. After retirement, he still continued to work. He found work back into gardening in E. Palo Alto and he, with much pleasure, took on the work with high performance. They never paid him what his work was worth, but he was very content doing what he loved the most; working alongside gorgeous nature and splendid greenery.

He finally retired to enjoy time with his family. Many years he basked in his true golden years. He spent his time with his wife and his children. They traveled to many different places, however, maintaining always first his favorite place, his hometown, Chavinda, Michoacan.

José Pérez survived many illnesses and health issues, but he continued to battle them and he kept that way for many years. Up until 2005, he had a pacemaker placed and his challenges continued of ups and downs with his health. Even then, he was always a very happy person with a great sense of humor. So much so, that he attracted with his big heart, with his good vibe, and for sure with his very own Angel, many good people to him.

In 2015, his illness worsened and started now a long battle of ins and outs of hospitals. And came the day he waited for, the day of his passing. He parted from this world with much peace, tranquility, and with tons of love from his wife, his children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren.

He has left behind his wife of almost 60 years; Carmen Alejandre de Pérez, his 7 children; José, Juan, Irma, Jerardo, Socorro, Carmen, y Jorge. His son in laws and daughter in laws. 25 grandchildren y 17 great grandchildren.

He was surrounded by all at his deathbed. May you rest in peace the great man, husband, father, great son, uncle, and friend --that we love for being the greatest human being. A true warrior. See you soon Father, Grandpa José Pérez.
