Jose Gomez Rodriguez

Jose was born in beautiful Tala, a town in Jalisco, Mexico. He lived his life in San Jose, California, surrounded by many loved ones.

He was married to his beloved spouse of 76 years, Juana Vizcarra Rodriguez; and had 5 wonderful children: Seberiano, Mary, Robert, Angel, and Gloria. He is also survived by his amazing 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Jose loved gardening. A man with a true green thumb, he raised many plants from seedlings to full-grown beauties. He was especially proud of his many fruit trees, such as his pomegranates; as well as his chiles, tomatoes, and gorgeous flowers.

Most of all, Jose loved spending time with his family. He kept his loved ones close to his heart, and his spirit & passions will live on in the many family members & friends whose lives he touched.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A visitation will be held on January 6, 2026 from 9am-8pm at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Chapel of the Oaks, located at 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.

A final visitation will take place on January 7, 2026, from 9am-1pm in the Chapel of the Oaks at the same address. The funeral service will follow from 1pm-2pm.

From the Chapel of the Oaks, guests will follow the Oak Hill Memorial Park staff & family out to burial on January 7, 2026, from 2pm-3pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
