Joe Rando was born of humble means to Sicilian immigrant parents in Harvey, Louisiana. At a very young age, his mother moved him and his family to the Goosetown District of San Jose. A child of the Great Depression, Joe helped his family as best as he could, picking fruit, shining shoes and finding any work to help financially. After graduating from San Jose Tech, Joe joined the Army in 1943, serving with the 793rd Combat Military Police Battalion. Joe was awarded the Purple Heart.
Returning home from the war, Joe met and married Angie Crusco. Together they raised five children and started AAA Furnace Co. in 1957. From modest beginnings, through perseverance and hard work, AAA became the largest and most respected residential HVAC company in the valley.
Joe never forgot his roots, his Italian heritage, and his dear friends. He was the epitome of the "can-do" generation.
Proceeded in death by his wife Angie; his brothers Frank, Sam and Angelo Caginia. He is survived by his sister, Angie Nicolosi, and his five children Frank, Alan (Cheryl), Jim (Stacey), Diana (Mark) and Marissa. Grandchildren are Joey, Jacquelyn, Matthew and Tyler.
