Joseph Louis Ventura

He attended Georgia Tech and The University of Connecticut where he earned a degree in engineering. He served as a Lieutenant in the Korean War. In 1956 he began his career at Pratt & Whitney. During his training he met Marian Gaetani. He went home that night and told his mother he had met the girl he was going to marry. They were married 4 months later. In 1962 he was transferred to San Jose where he worked at United Technologies until retirement in 1992.

Throughout his life he enjoyed golfing, watching sports, participating in the UNICO service club, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a great handyman and the best father and grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marian, brother John, and sister Delores. He is survived by his daughters- Gracemary, Lea, Donna, and Marian (John); 7 grandchildren- Andrea, Mark (Morgan), Katie, Julienne, Cameron, Mason, and Adam; and 2 great grandsons- Stephen and Andrew.

Services at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose- Fri. Sept 24: Visitation 1:30 pm, Service 2:30 pm, Burial 3:30. Reception to follow.
