Juan M. Borja, age 90 passed away on May 30, 2024, in Live Oak, California. Juan was born in Guam on December 13, 1933, where he later transitioned to San Jose, California where he lived most of his life.
Juan started his journey in the U.S. Army before becoming a welder which he continued until retirement.
During retirement, Juan was a crossing guard for the City of San Jose. Juan (also known by John) loved being around family and friends, playing the ukulele/accordion and hitting the occasional slot machine. John also enjoyed his weekly trip to the Saturday Flea Market.
Juan is predeceased by his first wife Hanna-Lore Borja, his second wife Rita Borja, his son Ted Boudreau, granddaughter Veronica Sherlock, and his siblings Ana Pangelinan, Maria Enriquez, Jesus Borja, Ignacio Borja, Antonio Borja, and Jose Borja. Juan is survived by his daughter Rebecca Borja-Sherlock, son Phil Boudreau(Val), grandsons Joe Sherlock(Courtney), JP Warlitner(Audrey), James, Theodore, Alex, and Joseph Boudreau, granddaughter Jenny Sherlock and many nieces and nephews.
On Thursday June 20, 2024, a visitation for Juan will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm, a funeral service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, and committal service from 1:15pm to 2:15pm in Drawing Room Chapel at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
