Julian Cornejo, the third of his name, was born in Wellington, Kansas on October 13, 1943. He was one of 10 children born to Mercedes and Julian Cornejo. He was the third born with 6 brothers, with one brother dying during infancy, and 4 younger sisters. As a young adult, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Turkey and sent to school to serve as a Russian Language Specialist . After his years in the service, he relocated from Kansas to California where he learned the trade as an Autocad Drafter and went on to become a Mechanical Engineer. Julian had a passion for classic cars, hot rods, bike riding, and photography. We will always remember his love of capturing moments in nature in his photographs, many of which decorated the walls of our family home growing up. At the core of his heart, he treasured his family and is survived by four daughters and two sons, eight grandchildren and one great grandson. His strong personality and outspoken nature was a gift in the last 15 years as he fought his battle with kidney disease, heart and lung failure and many other health issues including blindness and hearing loss. As his health declined, he was no longer able to do the things that he loved with the exception of spending time with family. We will be forever grateful for every moment and all these years that he continued to fight for his health and will treasure every memory. We take solace in knowing that he is now at peace and is no longer in pain.
