Karen Ann Herrington, 82 of San Jose, California passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother. She is pre-deceased by her husband and love of her life of 37 years Robert Lee Bemisderfer. She is survived by her daughters Doreen and Darlene, her son Thomas and her granddaughter Sabrina.
Karen was born the fourth child to Mildred and Durward Snyder on March 22, 1941 in San Jose, California where she spent the majority of her life. She is pre-deceased by her siblings Russell Snyder, Gerald “Jerry” Snyder and Carol Hickman.
Karen worked hard to raise her children. She worked as a hairdresser, manager of Flair Beauty Supply and the DMV, where she made many friends that she cherished dearly and kept in touch with throughout the years. She was “Everyone’s Mom” because if you needed anyone to talk to, laugh with or to just listen, she was always there for you.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. There will be no visitation at 1pm so everything will begin at 2pm.
The family respectfully requests any memorial donations in Karen’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of your choice.
