I am devastated. Katherine was such a strong, solid, reliable student and human being. I will never forget her.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Katherine, she was an inspiration to all who met her.  I remember her being one of the most dedicated athletes on the cross country running team, never late to practice and always giving it 100%.  I also remember her as a student, she was the only student I have had who would make corrections, highlight her mistakes and make notes about them.  She was truly an amazing person and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to know her.

I'm so sorry to hear this hard news. 

Katherine was in my class, and I got to know her when I started cross country/track and we trained together. We developed our own system of banter in which I'd try to get her to "come out of her shell" and she'd use her dry, ironic humor to put me in my place. My mom labeled it flirting. In senior year I finally convinced her to come to a party at my house. I was hoping that she'd come for the 10-year reunion and I meant to look her up to ask. Now I feel terrible about not getting in touch earlier.

Katherine was so wonderful and kind. She was one of sincerest persons I've had the pleasure to have known. I always enjoyed her dry wit and humor on our York cross country team runs; I can't recall those fond memories without thinking of her, and she will always be a heartwarming part of them. 

It breaks my heart to hear of Katherine's passing, but warms it to to remember what a wonderful person she was.

Sending my love and condolences to Katherine's family. She was brilliant, kind and thoughtful. A truly wonderful human being. I will always remember spending time together as two Yorkies at Princeton.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Young family. I wish I had known Katherine better in high school and beyond, as she was such a determined, graceful person. I have fond memories of her in many classes -- especially in art. She had a keen creative eye. Sending love and well-wishes. She'll be missed.

She was remembered at our reunion just a few weeks ago and we all missed her. So sorry to learn she was fighting for her life. My thoughts are with you.

I'm very sorry to hear of Katherine's passing... While at our recent 10 year high school reunion earlier this month, a few of us were talking about her and wondering how she was doing... I'm so sorry to hear of her ongoing illness and her passing. Katherine was exceptionally intelligent and fantastically witty. Sending my sincere condolences to her family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Katherine's passing.  I was just looking at her York yearbook page--so full of life and humor with her "good friends" and "friends in the doghouse."  Just charming!  She has left behind lots of love and broken hearts.  We will miss her.
