Kimiye Aozasa

Born July 4, 1933, died July 6, 2024, at the age of 91 years old. She is survived by Walter and his wife Karen, daughter-in-law Lisa, and her youngest son Wesley. Also, her grandchildren Michael, Margueritte, Morgan Elizabeth Aozasa, Kenny Nakamura, Cole Aozasa, Kendall, and Carly Aozasa. She also is survived by her great-grandchild Akari Bates. She is preceded in death by her husband Kazunori Aozasa, her oldest son Wayne Aozasa, and her brother Kiyoshi Oshiba.

Kimiye was born in Los Angeles, and during her younger years, she and her family were interned at the Santa Anita Assembly Center, and then sent to Jerome AK, and finally ending in Gila River AZ. After WW II, she and her family settled in the Bay Area where she spent her younger years in San Jose, before raising her family in Los Altos.

Kimiye, as typical of her nature, graduated from Mills College, and had a very successful career in Finance. She thoroughly enjoyed a very full life of family, friends, home and casinos. She was very grateful for all the wonderful experiences and a long healthy life.

Services will be held at the Buddhist Church in San Jose on August 17, 2024 at 2pm.
