24 January 1940 – 14 February 2011
Klaus, 71, waltzed himself into heaven on February 14, 2011. Born in Germany, he was a talented landscape contractor and artist for 55 years. In 1965, after he married the love of his life, Gisela Dorothee Hertzer, they immigrated to the United States on their honeymoon trip. He is survived by Gisela, his wife of 45 years, their two sons, Steven and Michael Hertzer, two beloved grandchildren, Evan and Alexandra Hertzer, sister Eva Hessel, niece Angela Helyar, great nephew Max Helyar, and great niece Emelie Helyar. Klaus was a kind and fun-loving man who enjoyed life to its fullest. We will dearly miss him forever.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., 26 February 2011, in the Chapel of the Roses at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose, CA. Reception to follow.
