Remembering you Kris as it almost a year since you died. Wow. Such a tragedy. Think of you often as I drive into LG and glance over to your carport on Blosdom hill. Wish I could stop in for a visit. Your life is a reminder for all of us to follow our dreams, be kind to others and look on the bright side of like, as it could all be gone in a split second. Hope you can see and feel all the good stuff.. The Giants winning their 3rd WS and you can feel the love all your pals have for you. Miss u.

Kris, it's so hard to believe you are gone. You were such a part of our family for so many years. So many fun memories, camping, playing some mean cribbage games, discovering the Bay area together, and just hanging out - we had so many laughs! You were truly Uncle Burney to Ryan and Ian and a brother to me and Greg. Years have a way of slipping by and time can take us all by surprise. You left too soon, but you won't be forgotten, your laugh and your smile will live on in our hearts forever.

Seems like just last week when Uncle Bernie was sitting on the couch so gracefully letting young Kate and Gina mess up his hair and recomb to their liking with all the hair combed down in his eyes. Everyone would laugh and laugh, but no one was having more fun that our Uncle Bernie. He went along with anything the girls wanted to do. I think everyone thought Kris was their Uncle Bernie. Once when we went to a Giants game, Uncle Bernie babysat the girls. Unfortunately, the family rabbit passed away under his watch. He felt so bad, he returned the next day with a new baby bunny to try to ease the girls' sadness.
I can remember inviting him over for many a last minute family dinner, but he was always so organized, he had already cooked his dinner and was just waiting until supper time. He'd take a raincheck. Boy, what would I give for one of those rainchecks right now. Rest in Peace Bernie. Gone too soon! Let us all walk a little lighter and a little brighter in your honor. Love you and miss you. Lynn, Kate and Gina

Chris, you were such a big part of our family, and I think of you often. You were my cool uncle, I remember all of your cool cars, the schiraco, trans-am, Volvo, I remember camping with you, hanging out at your house with the cool bar and stereo equipment. Watching the 49ers play in the Super Bowl, the Joe Montana poster you got me, and that hilarious laugh. You went too soon, I'll miss you and remember you forever.

Hey Burn, As you would always say, "see you later my friend" and we will visit again. Always loved seeing your smile and hearing that laugh of yours during our many conversations together. Go Giants, Go Sharks and Go Niners!

There has been a mistake. Kris was not supposed to go so soon. I have known this guy for 57 years and his work is not done. Kris loves to tell stories, his jokes are hilarious and how can you not love his smile. When Kris leaves the room we are embracing the time we had with him.
What we see in Kris is the best of the best in human nature. He will do anything to comfort a friend in need. Kris is very loyal to friends and he is ethically and morally sound.
Kris will always find the time to make a phone call, just to say hello. Kris just loves his friends and he is loved back. We are his family. Kris will always be in my heart and mind. I love this guy. He will always be my brother!

Kris, From the first time we met in 1978 in your back yard when Charlie Smith introduced us I knew we would see good times. You shared your house with me for 2 1/2 years and your friendship forever. Thanks for being the best man in my wedding and always being there for me and my family. We shared so many experiences, most of which can't be mentioned here. LOL! Kris I miss you already, signed "The Young Billy Knowles"

Dear, Dear Kris,
I will always think of You every-time I see the Sharks, cheer on the 49ers or drink Australian beer. I still don't know how such a damn awful swing beat me time and again, without remorse. You were brutal brother and I loved you for it. Thank you for all the great rounds, all the good food, the great chats, the ice cold beers and simply for being there and being Yourself. I love you my Brother from another Mother.
Save a tee time for me, maybe next time I won't take it easy on you.
